Nanny Nexus, LLC. offers "Nexus Temps" which provides you with temporary childcare solutions. Temps are available for day, evening, weekend, and overnight care 7 days a week. Nexus Temps are pre-screened just like all other Nanny Nexus applicants. This service can be used in private homes, hotels, social events, churches, synagogues, day care centers, seminars, meetings, and corporate facilities.

Nexus Temps have a 4 hr min. The fees are time and a half on holidays for temps and agency (New Years Eve, Valentines Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc). Additionally, temps working for the same family for over 40hours in a seven week work period will need to be paid time and ½ for each additional hour. If child is driven mileage should be paid to Nexus temp at government allotted rate. If the child is sick Nexus Temp is paid an additional 20% = $12 hour for one child.

Agency fees for services are due at the time service is confirmed. Clients must pay with credit card or debt card on line at the Nanny Nexus payment center found at the bottom of every Nanny Nexus web page. Nexus Temp is to be paid at the time of service in cash or check. To begin using Nanny Nexus Temp services clients must fill out a Nanny Nexus Family temp application and pay the registration fee.

Nexus Lake Temps
It’s lake and vacation season, and time to book one of our nannies, now! Most families would love to have an extra set of hands on vacation, or a night out alone with their spouse. Nanny Nexus nannies can help. We offer temp lake/vacation nannies that will travel with you, and help your family enjoy their vacation. For the nanny, this is like a business trip. She is required to be compensated by you, the employer, for all hours during the trip (including travel time). The cost of the trip, and room and board, are not taxable income to the nanny. These are expenses the family incurs, to have to have a lake/vacation temp nanny. If the trip is longer then 40 hours in a seven-day week, the nanny must be paid time and a half for each hour over 40 according to the Fair Standards Act. However, the family is not required to pay for non-work hours (i.e. free time completely on her own, sleeping time, etc.)

Cancellation Policy
Up to $75 of the agency fee is non-refundable, if the client cancels. Cancellations must be made to Nanny Nexus 24-hours prior to service; or by 4:00pm Friday for a Saturday, Sunday or Monday on all temporary jobs to avoid payment to the nanny/caregiver. A temporary placement greater than 6 days requires a one-week prior cancellation. Failure to cancel within the prescribed time frame will result in payment to the nanny/caregiver of:

1. 25% of potential earnings for temporary jobs 10 days or shorter.
2. One-week severance pay for temporary jobs over 10 days in length.

Notice of cancellation must be made to the agency. If the nanny procures another equal or better job in its place, required payment to nanny is waived.

All services must be contracted through the office of Nanny Nexus, LLC. Any arrangements without the agency will be charged on the credit care at the current rated. Additionally, the referral of a Nanny Nexus temp to a third party, without arranging the visit through Nanny Nexus, is considered "theft of services" and will result in a $1000 in liquidated damages.
